 Ohio CPR Certs is a locally owned training center in Columbus, Ohio and is a proud provider of American Red Cross and American Heart Association training programs! Certifications are offered in BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers, community member certifications in First Aid/CPR/AED, train-the-trainer Instructor Courses and Red Cross Babysitter’s Training. Most courses are offered in a Blended Learning format where your initial learning is done online at your own pace, then you complete an in person skill session with an instructor to finish your training!

Ohio CPR Certs conducts onsite Group/Workplace Training sessions for those that need us to come to you! If you want to get your entire staff trained to save a life - let us help you! Red Cross & American Heart Training Provider

Ohio CPR Certs is an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider. That means we are certified and experienced Instructors and we teach official American Red Cross courses. The Red Cross curriculum is the most up-to-date materials (2025), is consistent with and exceeds AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, and is fully OHSA compliant. Upon completion of the class, you receive an American Red Cross certificate! Ohio CPR Certs is also an American Heart Association (AHA) training provider and can provide on-site group/workplace training using American Heart Association (AHA) courses and certifications when requested.

Courses are OHSA/ODE/ODJFS approved and meet requirements set by the Ohio Boards of Dental, Pharmacy, Nursing, EMS and more! Healthcare Providers can obtain CEUs, which are accredited by ANCC, ACCME, ACPE, and CAPCE.

    Evan Derr, EMT

    Founder & Principal Instructor

    A licensed EMT in Ohio and a professional event manager, Evan is an American Red Cross Instructor Trainer (IT) and AHA Instructor with over a decade of CPR teaching experience. He also handles AED sales and service consultations.

    Chelsea Derr, RN/BSN, CPN

    Founder & Principal Instructor

    With 10+ years of pediatric healthcare experience in the hospital setting, Chelsea is an RN/BSN, a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN), certified in PALS, and is an American Red Cross instructor. Chelsea is our lead babysitting instructor.

    A project manager by day, Faye is a certified Red Cross and American Heart Instructor with more than 20 years of CPR teaching and event medical volunteering experience with the non-profit organization.

    A former EMT and a seasoned educator for Westerville City Schools, Stasia is a longtime Red Cross First Aid volunteer and a certified American Red Cross instructor.
