Turn the device on the side to reveal the battery compartment and orange button
Press orange button to extract battery and dispose
Before inserting your new battery, slide the side compartment to be sure a 9-volt battery is located inside your primary battery
Pop the new battery back into the AED until you hear it click
Check to be sure the active status indicator flashes green
