LOCATION: The location of your training course is the Ohio CPR Certs Training Center located at 110 Polaris Parkway, Suite 303, Westerville, OH 43082. The facility is an office building located in front of the Meijer store on Polaris Parkway. Park on either side of the building and enter the main lobby, take the elevator to the third floor, and turn right toward Suite 303.
INSTRUCTORS: Our team of highly qualified and experienced instructors, led by a pediatric nurse, will take your children through our Babysitting with First Aid/CPR/AED course!
PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT: Remember, we want your children to have the room to learn these lifesaving skills on their own! Space inside the classroom is very limited. There is a comfortable seating area just outside the classroom, in the lobby of the floor. Parents/guardians are welcome to stay on the floor in this common area, but would not have seats inside the classroom itself. Parents/guardians are not required, nor expected, to stay at the building during the class.
AGE REQUIREMENT: This babysitting class is geared toward those ages 11-16. Students must be 11 years old by the start date of the class and no older than 17 years old.
CLASS LENGTH: The in person portion of the class will last from 9a-5p with the babysitter components in the morning and the first aid/CPR/AED components in the afternoon.
LUNCH/SNACK: All students should come prepared with a packed lunch - students will have a half hour lunch break during the middle of the day. Students will also get to help prepare healthy snack options during class, that they could serve to little ones they babysit in the future! This snack break is typically taken in the afternoon. Please let us know if your child has any allergies we should be aware of. We will have additional allergy friendly snacks available for students during class too.
BABYSITTING KIT: All students will receive a comprehensive Babysitter Kit! This kit is exclusive to our training center and is not provided by other training providers. This Babysitter Kit contains: Red Cross Backpack, Red Cross Babysitting Handbook, a mini breathing barrier, a mini notebook, and a 100 piece mini First Aid Kit - great to take with them on babysitting gigs. This is included in the cost of registration (a $58 value!)
FAQS: Be sure to review the Frequently Asked Questions on our website - this will discuss various topics such as Cancellation/Reschedule Policies, Certificates, Location, etc.
RED CROSS CERTIFICATIONS: In order for students to receive a 10 year Red Cross Babysitter certification and a 2 year Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification, they must:
Complete the online, self-paced pre-work before class.
Attend the full in-person class session.
Actively participate in all activities.
Demonstrate competency in all practice skills.

There is no written exam for the Babysitting or First Aid/CPR/AED courses!
